In addition to the fantastic Get Cornering! Experience days, we also provide advanced motorcycle training courses for RoSPA and the DVSA Enhanced Rider Scheme. Not only that, we can also provide all the coaching you need to pass any of the recognised advanced motorcycle tests in the UK, though we no longer recommend the DIA advanced motorcycle test, (see below). Paul Dickinson, Director and Coach for Get Cornering, has substantial industry experience. His qualifications are evidence of his commitment to provide exceptional training for his clients and they exceed the industry standards.
You can have unrivalled peace of mind that the Experience Days or the RoSPA advanced motorcycle training courses will be of the highest calibre. Paul holds a number of industry specific qualifications including the teaching qualification BTEC Advanced Award for Motorcycle Instructors, Edexcel Examination Board – passed February 2004.
He is also the holder of a current RoSPA National Diploma in Advanced Riding Instruction. Paul passed with Distinction in all 4 categories of Theory, Presentation Skills, Instructional Ability and Riding Ability and was last assessed in November 2015. Next assessment is due in November 2018. Copies of all his qualifications and results are available to see on request.
On a limited basis, but nonetheless rewarding, some of his time has been spent coaching riders with disabilities and learning difficulties. In all, Paul has well in excess of 30,000 hours teaching experience on the UK’s and continental roads and provides professional consultation as an Expert Witness in the investigation of serious and fatal motorcycle crashes.
The Register of Post-Test Motorcycle Trainers: In the required Check Test assessment for trainers, conducted by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), and taken as part of his ongoing RPMT registration with the DVSA, he achieved the top grade for coaching/training and riding in every single category. More information about the Register of Post-Test Motorcycle Trainers can be found on the DVSA web site. Paul is also a qualified CBT and Direct Access trainer as well as being a qualified advanced motorcycle instructor. He has Enhanced Disclosure CRB clearance.
